• Things have been pretty quiet around here lately. We finally got a chance to get Mike's Mom's wedding photos scanned and online today. As always, look for them in the Photo Gallery.

• The long-awaited professional wedding photos are here, and they've been converted to digital format for your long-distance viewing pleasure. We're extremely happy with these photos, so check the Photo Gallery to see why!

• We've added a new section to the site: Movie Theatre. Inside, you'll find QuickTime movie clips from the DVD that we're putting together. Go there now, and don't forget the popcorn!

• Set 3 of the wedding photos, from Mike's Dad's camera, is now online! As always, find them in the Photo Gallery.

• We've added a Wedding Music page for all of the music Mike wrote for our ceremony. Go there to download and listen to the songs that were played for the prelude and processional.

  The Guest Information page has also been retired as we transition the site from pre-wedding information to post-wedding.

• Set two of the wedding photos, stills taken on our video camera, is now up for viewing. Check the Photo Gallery to see them!

• If you weren't able to make it, the wedding was perfect and a great success. Everything came together and several wonderful people worked hard to make our day incredibly special.

  We returned from our honeymoon in Sedona, Arizona and now have the first batch of many photos up in the Photo Gallery. Enjoy, and please check back here for more photos as we get them!

• Today a friend and coworker of Bev's was gracious enough to take some "engagement" photos of us together. Most were taken with a regular film camera, but we took a few with my digital camera as well. Check the Photo Gallery to have a look.

• As far as the state of California is concerned, we are now legally married. Bev wanted to have her married name on her diploma when she graduates from Cal State Fullerton. The school indicated that a marriage certificate, not just a marriage license, would be required to update the name for the diploma. To ensure that all of the required paperwork would be done in plenty of time, we went down to the Orange County courthouse today, got our marriage license, and had a very quick civil ceremony to make it legal in the eyes of the state.

  As far as we are concerned, we are not officially married until the real ceremony on June 1. This was merely a legal formality, and perhaps a practice session for the real thing.

• Yesterday we got the call that the ring was ready, so today we went and picked it up. The fit was perfect and it looks fabulous! This is a picture of the real deal:
  

• Part of our plan for the wedding and reception is to take video of the entire affair with our own digital video camera. We will then edit the video using our Macintosh to create custom DVDs of our wedding. Not only will we save thousands on the cost of a videographer, but we will have full creative control over the final product (or products) and be able to create DVDs that will last much longer than tapes. Only problem: we don't have a digital video camera. Today we took the plunge and ordered a Canon Optura 100MC plus some accessories from BestPriceAudioVideo.com. The whole package is scheduled to arrive next Monday.

• After working on them most of the past week and spending a lot of time printing, the invitations are done and look great. All but a few went out today, and the rest will go out as soon as we get those last addresses!
  

  We also got the wedding cake order finalized today and we're very excited about the cake we designed. We ordered ours from Creative Cakes in Orange.

• The Guest Information page now shows airport and nearby hotel details for our out of town guests. We will continue to update it as we find out more information.

• Today we set out to find a wedding band for me (Mike). We were hoping to find something that would complement the style of Bev's ring (seen at the bottom of the Engagement page). After looking online and finding a few styles we liked, we headed out to Philip Press, where we got Bev's ring. They had several nice bands that we liked, and we soon narrowed it down to one in particular. Already knowing the quality of work that Philip Press does, we decided to go ahead and order it with them. The ring should be ready in 3-4 weeks.

  Unfortunately they don't have a picture of this style on their website. I found several others on the web that are somewhat similar, but I like what I got even better. These will give you some idea of what it looks like until I can put up a picture of the real thing in about a month.

  

• We sent out the first batch of "Save the Date" notices yesterday, so they ought to start arriving for the locals tomorrow. The site is basically finished and ready to present!
