Hi!

Dear Bethany, Lauren, Nikki, Geoff, Lyndsay, Jackie, Karen, Lisa, Erica, Joe or Ellen:

Thank you so much for signing our guest book! We were delighted to see the wonderful messages that you have left for us over the past year. You must truly care a lot for us since you left not one, but SEVENTEEN messages. Wow! Using different names was an extra bonus, too - it has boosted our egos knowing that others who view our guestbook will think that we have more friends than we really do! We are truly indebted to you for this warm gift of kindness.

There's just one problem - we don't know who you are! We've spent the last year agonizing over who you might be so that we can thank you properly. Unfortunately all of our leads turned up empty:

  • We tried emailing you @aol.com but the messages bounced.
  • We can't think of anyone we know in New York.
  • We contacted Cablevision's Optimum Online division to see if any of our friends or family may subscribe to their internet service. They were quite helpful but we were unable to find a familiar name in their subscriber list.
  • Because we are big computer lovers, we tend to just remember what software many of our friends and family use on their own computers. We couldn't think of anyone we know that uses Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 on Windows 98. We know many people that use IE 5 on Windows 98 or IE 6 on Windows XP, but none with that particular combination.
  • Searching the web didn't turn up any good leads, either. But we did learn that you must know a lot of people who are getting married, and were truly touched to see how you have spread your kindness to all of them. The world is a better place because of you! Strangely, our internet search did not turn up your own wedding web site. Can you tell us the address? We would love to visit and leave you a message or 12.

As you can tell, we're stumped. Actually, we're quite embarrassed about not knowing who you are - what a huge faux pas! Could you please enlighten us? It would mean the world to us. Thanks!

Mike and Bev Heasley

PS: Good luck on THURSDAY August 14!
